Activities
Regular and annual programs
Adhar Wahini
Taxi service for cancer patients from Thane to Tata Memorial Hospital Parel and Kharghar, for ease of transport and at no cost basis.
Adhar Maitra
Support group for cancer fighters and their family members, to develop a peer network, conducting different programs on a weekly basis.
Adhar Sadhana
Yog varg for cancer patients and survivors, conducted thrice a week, under the guidance of expert teachers from Ghantali Mitra Mandal, Thane.
Adhar Sanwad
Counseling for cancer patients and their caretakers.
Adhar Kark Rugna Mitra Mandal
Cancer information center addressing various queries of cancer patients, their family members and people from society in general.
Foundation Day
Every year it is celebrated in the month of May, with a light entertainment program and felicitation of taxi drivers of Adhar Wahini.
Rose Day
It is celebrated in the month of September to boost the morale of Cancer fighters.
Cancer Detection Camps
In the camps more than 100 people are screened at a time, from the needy class of society, aiming at early detection of cancer.
Adhar Sanwad Mala
Lecture series focused on health is arranged in the month of November every year, in the memory of founder Shri Arvind Joshi.
HPV Vaccination
The vaccine is administered for the girls of age 9 to 14 to protect them from cervical cancer. All the activities are done at no cost basis for the needy people supported by donors from the society.
